About Me

Hi! I'm so glad you stopped by! I'm Alicia the author here at Hippy Juice Mama! I am a southern woman born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi. I have a thick southern drawl and a sweet tea and Coca Cola obsession. I now live in Texas with my high school sweetheart who is now my husband and our 2 wonderful kids. Life is normal but learning to love the normal and see all the spectacular in the mundane. I'm a recovering people pleaser on a mission to rediscover myself.

I started blogging to help others like myself who are newbies in natural living and health but quickly discovered that is not my passion. While I love learning about it and seeing how its helping me with my Adrenal Fatigue, PCOS, and Hashimotos its only a small part of my story. I have very few hobbies but mainly I like to watch movies, read, nap, and spend time with my family. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to discover my passions and dreams like writing. As a kid I use to write short stories but would never show them to anyone. A writer has always been a dream that I've never spoken out loud for fear of what people would say and think.

After I became a mother I was introduced to another man that would rock my world, Jesus Christ. My spiritual journey has been filled with steep mountains and deep dark valleys. I've tried to warp myself into the idea of the perfect Christian woman and I was making myself and my family miserable. I tried to fit God into a box and use law and legalism as the key to open it. He has opened my eyes and is showing me who He really is and who He created me to be. He created a different life and purpose for each of us and none of our puzzles will look the same.

I am in a season of restoration. The Lord is restoring me back to Himself and back to the person He intended me to be. I am seeking grace and freedom. I really want this blog to move in that direction of seeking freedom and sharing struggles and joys and passions. I am excited to also find women that I know are sort of in that place or who have been in that place to bring on as contributors and stand with me to say this is me, this is who I am and I'm confident in that and I don't expect your life to mirror mine and vice versa but this is my life and this is what I'm excited about.

I hope you enjoy your time here and I look forward to doing life with you!

  1. Alicia, you rock!!! Thanks for being willing to bare your soul ... No easy feat, especially for us (ex) "people pleasers." Your story sounds a lot like mine, although I'm many more years ahead in my life journey. May God richly bless you in your healing pursuits!!!
